Hawaii

Overview

Hawaii is more than just being one of the world’s paradises. Beyond the deep blue ocean, the emerald valleys and golden sands, the Hawaiian Islands feature some awesome experiences that truly set it apart from the rest of the world.

Each of the six Hawaiian islands has its own cultural identity. Be enchanted by Kauai’s lush, natural beauty, learn to surf at Waikiki Beach on Oahu, explore an artist community in the town of Paia on Maui or hike to a secluded waterfall on Hawaii’s Big Island.

The diverse culture of Hawaii is expressed in many ways through its language, music, art, theatre, dance, cuisine and a multitude of festivals. At the core is the spirit of Aloha, gracefully conveyed in a painter’s brush stroke, in the fluid arc of a hula dancer’s hand,or in the soft rhythm of a slack key guitar. When you visit Hawaii you will feel the warmth, open–hearted generosity, passion and gentle humour that are the components of Aloha. Discover these unique islands, its people and the culture, all combining to make this a truly special place.

Getting There

We highly recommend twining your Hawaiian holiday with a US city perhaps Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles or Las Vegas or you can just overnight en route. It is possible to get to Hawaii from the UK on the same day, but the journey time is close to 24 hours.

There are essentially only two seasons in Hawaii, with Summer being May to October. The average daytime temperatures in Summer is 29ºC and in Winter it is 25ºC. The wettest months are in Winter, but the rain is very localised and it can be sunny just round the corner.
